PROVINCE UNVEILS NEW IMMIGRATION STRATEGY  Saskatchewan's new immigration strategy was released to the public today during an event at Greystone Heights Elementary School in Saskatoon. The strategy responds to important social and economic changes underway within and beyond Saskatchewan by improving upon current immigration programs and undertaking new initiatives to create jobs and renew communities.

GOVERNMENT FOCUSES ON JOB CREATION WITH ENHANCED BUSINESS IMMIGRATION  The Government of Saskatchewan has unveiled new business immigration streams that will help grow the economy and create jobs. These new initiatives are key elements of the government's new immigration strategy.

RESOURCES FOR IMMIGRANTS
The Ministry had developed some information sheets to help you through the immigration and settlement process. These information sheets currently include: “Fairness at Work”, “Health and Safety at Work” and “Working Temporarily in Saskatchewan” and are available in 10 different languages, including: French, Chinese Mandarin, German, Korean, Farsi, Russian, Spanish, Tagalog, Ukrainian and Urdu.

SINP information sessions on the Skilled Worker and Family Member categories will be held in Regina and Saskatoon on the following dates:

: June 23, 2009, July 14, 2009, August 11, 2009, September 1, 2009, September 22, 2009October 20, 2009, November 3, 2009November 24, 2009 and December 15, 2009
 
Saskatoon
July 10, 2009, August 21, 2009, September 18, 2009, October 30, 2009, November 20, 2009 and December 11, 2009.


Notice: Make sure you read about SINP's policy changes

Information for Entrepreneur and Farm Category Applicants:  CIC has updated their Schedule 4A form effective May 31, 2009.  All applications submitted to the SINP/Entrepreneur and Farm Owner and Operator categories after that date must include the updated CIC form Schedule 4A. As well, nominee's applications to CIC Visa Offices after May 31, 2009 must include a copy of the updated Schedule 4A.
Please continue to submit SINP 200-2 form Personal Net Worth Statement.
