As part of the Province's plan to increase nominations under the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) by 85% from the 2007-08 targets, SINP implemented a series of process and policy changes in 2008.  These changes will increase the file processing efficiency of the SINP, reduce application processing time and increase nominations while maintaining an excellent standard of customer service.

As of October 1, 2008:

  • Applications must be complete when submitted or they will be returned without SINP assessment. Please carefully review the appropriate checklist to ensure that you have included all required documents.
    • All federal and all provincial forms must be complete, signed and dated or the application will be returned to the applicant without SINP assessment.
    • Provincial forms must be original and will not be returned to the applicant.
    • All federal forms must be photocopies. If original copies of federal forms are submitted, the application will be returned without SINP assessment.
    • All supporting documentation must be photocopies. If original copies of supporting documents are submitted, the application will be returned without SINP assessment.

As of August 18, 2008:

  • Meetings with Immigration Officers will be by appointment only. Officers will not be available for walk-in inquiries. Appointments will be booked in twenty minute sessions on Tuesday afternoons. Please call (306) 798-7467 to schedule an appointment.
  • Please identify if you already have an application in with the SINP when making appointments.  Officers will not review and assess applications during appointments.
  • All applications will undergo a preliminary assessment after they have been submitted.  You do not need an appointment to submit a new application.
  • Please watch our website for workshop dates for Employer, Skilled Worker and Family sessions in Regina and Saskatoon.
